Poland’s Cross-Country Skiing Teams For The 2022/2023 Season

by Leandro Lutz • 19.05.2022
The Polish Ski Association has named the cross-country skiers for the 2022/2023 season. In total, 18 cross-country skiers selected will be part of the National Team A, National Team B and Junior National Team.

According to Poland’s Ski Association press release, the National Team A will be formed by five athletes, two women and three men, and coached by the Czech Lukáš Bauer. Martin Bajčičák will be the head coach of National Team B, with four skiers, one woman and three men. The Junior National Team will be formed by nine athletes, six women and three men, and coached by Jan Antolec.

“From this season on, we will divide into three training groups. The National B and Junior Team will have a joint training staff. Our two teams will train together throughout the entire preparation period and implement one training plan. Cooperation between our large group and Lukáš Bauer’s staff will also be important,” says Jan Antolec and continues:

“Personally, I am pleased that I will have the opportunity to work more closely with Martin Bajčičák, who has extensive coaching experience. I know that I will be able to learn a lot from him and share a similar training thought”.
