The cross-country skiing World Cup heads to Toblach in Italy this weekend. The Norwegian Team is presented.

Toblach, Italy, is the place for this weekend’s cross-country skiing World Cup. The event begins on Friday, February 3, with a sprint in freestyle technique. On Saturday, February 4, it’s time for a 10km individual start also in freestyle technique. On Sunday, February 5, the World Cup weekend ends with a 4×7.5km relay race for both women and men.

In a press release, the Norwegian Ski Association has named their cross-country ski team for the upcoming World Cup in Toblach. Norway will start with 25 athletes. On the women’s side, Norway will begin with 12 skiers. Already on the men’s side, 13 athletes will start for the Scandinavian country.

New this season is the same race distances for women and men in all World Cup events, as the International Ski & Snowboard Federation (FIS) decided in May. Several other changes have also been introduced to the World Cup.
