by PROXCSKIING • 08.03.2022
The Norwegian Ski Association has named 24 cross-country skiers, 11 women and 13 men, for the World Cup Final in Falun, Sweden this weekend.

Complete Schedule to the Falun World Cup

Norway has a quota of six skiers for each gender. In addition, there are a free spot for the World Cup leader (Johannes Høsflot Klæbo) and the Scandinavian Cup leaders (Marte Skaanes and Mattis Stenshagen).

The cross-country skiers from the men’s A sprint team and Even Northug are unfortunately still out with Covid and thus not starting in Falun. The exception may be Johannes Høsflot Klæbo; he will be considered later this week, considering he has a free place as the World Cup leader.

In the women’s sprint, Kristine Stavås Skistad decided not to travel to Falun. In addition, unfortunately, Mathilde Skjærdalen Myhrvold and Hedda Østberg Amundsen have an illness. Marte Skaanes focuses on Saturday’s 10 km.
