Finland wins women’s team sprint at the Cogne World Cup
Finland I, with Kerttu Niskanen and Jasmi Joensuu, won the team sprint today at the World Cup in Cogne, with a total time of 19:04.5.
Sweden I, with Johanna Hagström and Maja Dahlqvist, finished in second place, 0.9 seconds behind the winners. Germany I, with Laura Gimmler and Coletta Rydzek, completed the podium in third place, 1.2 seconds back.
Norway II (Elena Rise Johnsen and Hedda Bakkemo), and Norway I (Hedda Østberg Amundsen and Lotta Udnes Weng), rounded out the top 5 by finishing 4th and 5th, respectively.

After Italy (Cogne), the World Cup heads to Sweden (Falun) in mid-February and Norway (Trondheim) for the World Championships at the end of February and beginning of March.
After the World Championships, the World Cup ends the season with weekends in Norway (Oslo), Estonia (Tallinn), and Finland (Lahti).
