Tour de France stage 14, starting at Saint-Étienne, saw Michael Matthews (Team BikeExchange – Jayco) winning the 192.5km race to Mende, ahead of Alberto Bettiol (EF Education – EasyPost) and Thibaut Pinot (Groupama – FDJ).
Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo – Visma) keeps the yellow jersey. Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) is in second place overall, 2:22 behind the leader, and Geraint Thomas (INEOS Grenadiers) is in third place in the general classification, 2:43 behind.
Today, Stage 15 starts at Rodez, covers 202.5km, and finishes at Carcassonne.

“Now, the sprinters will get their chance. They should be allowed to shine on the last day of the second week, but they will have to fight hard for that. Partly because of the course, partly also because many people probably see this stage as an opportunity to hold on to a breakaway. We can count on many tired legs this day, the third day in a row where it is just over 200 km to cycle if we include the neutral zone. If you look a little closely at what the stage looks like initially, it can probably take a while before the attacks start, but it will happen sooner or later. The question is whether you reach beautiful Carcassonne with its fortified old impressive district before the peloton. Then, a day of rest awaits, and it is probably best that they rest properly. The first three stages next week are all in the Pyrenees and very tough,” says Vacchi.
The broadcast starts on Eurosport at 13:15. Neutralized start at 13:05. Expected arrival is at 17:39.
