The Ski Classics Challengers event, Tjejvasan, is a 30km long-distance race in classic technique taking place this Saturday, February 21, 2026, from Oxberg to Mora, Sweden.

Tjejvasan is a 30km race exclusively for women, first held in 1988. Now celebrating its 38th edition, the event has become the World’s largest ski race for female participants. The race starts in Oxberg and finishes in Mora, sharing the same iconic finish line as Vasaloppet.

Tjejvasan is part of Vasaloppet’s Winter Week 2026, which includes several competitions, among them Vasaloppet, a Ski Classics Pro Tour event, and Tjejvasan, part of the Ski Classics Challengers series.

Tjejvasan 2026 will be livestreamed on SC Play on Saturday, February 21, with English commentary starting at 8:55 CET, with Teemu Virtanen as a host and Carl Fredrik Hagen as an expert commentator.

Track Record

The course record is 1:15:39, set by Britta Johansson Norgren in 2022. The second-fastest time came in 2024, when Kati Roivas of Team Eksjöhus finished in 1:16:14, just 35 seconds behind the record.

As Tjejvasan is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team-registered athletes can earn points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions. 

A list of Ski Classics Challengers events with confirmed dates for the 2025/2026 season can be found on the Ski Classics website. The list is updated continuously with new events.

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour, or Challengers events, as well as professional and recreational skiers, can connect their profile to Ski Classics’ results database, MyPages.

MyPages can be connected for free. In the profile, you can view your Ski Classics event results, collect pins, print diplomas, and analyze your results with friends in the SC ranking system. In your profile, you earn points based on your performance and are rewarded with pins and diplomas.

One of the central features of MyPages is that you get your global SC ranking. The SC Ranking is a live-updated international ranking that is unique for combining women and men, professional and recreational skiers, in a single list.
