A new Pro Team from Oslo makes its Ski Classics debut this season, built from a group of around 20 friends with roots in traditional cross-country skiing.

Most of the team’s athletes discovered long-distance ski racing in recent years, after traveling to compete in some of the biggest events on the Ski Classics circuit. That experience grew into a deeper commitment, and the most dedicated among them decided to apply for a Pro Team license.

The team draws heavily from the development environment of Bygdø IL and Team Bygdø, benefiting from experienced volunteers and contributors who have previously helped secure sponsorships. The long-term ambition is to build a pathway for athletes from Team Bygdø and the wider Oslo region who want to focus their careers on long-distance skiing.

Eight athletes make up the roster for Season XVIII: Petter Stokkeland, Gustav Heldal, Sander Berger, Torbjørn Rolstad, Fredrik Stenersen, Tirill Marie Moeller Gundersen, Sigrid Stakston, and Thea Sørum. Two athletes bring previous Pro Team experience: Gustav Heldal (Team Kaffebryggeriet, Seasons XI-XII) and Thea Sørum (Team Sport 1 Lillehammer, Season XVII).
