As the Pro Tour season looms, a number of athletes have already locked in 50 points through strong performances at various Ski Classics Challengers events.

These athletes, both men and women, have already shown their dominance in the lead up to the winter season, making them key competitors to watch when Pro Tour Season XVI begins.

While some athletes have won or competed in more than one race, a reminder that Ski Classics Pro Team athletes are only able to count their single best Ski Classics Challengers result towards the Champion competition.

Women’s standings

Hedda Bångman of the eD system Vltava Fund Team has had a successful summer of Challengers races after her victory at Båstad-Mölle and Energamo Lipnolopet, although she can only count one best result for the Champion competition. She is joined by Stina Nilsson of Team Ragde Charge, who won her first long-distance event at Klarälvsloppet, and Magni Smedås from Team Eksjöhus, who claimed the win at Alliansloppet. Jenny Larsson of the Lager 157 Ski Team and Johanna Hagström tied with Larsson, securing 50 points at Värnamorullen. 

Meanwhile, Anikken Gjerde Alnes earned her points with a victory at Fossavatnsgangan at the end of the last winter before her serious roller ski crash, which put a delay to her summer preparation, and Hanna Lodin took the top of the podium at Vaajmarathon.

Men’s standings

Isac Holmström of Team Edux leads after his triumph at the Lake Saimaa Roller Ski Marathon. Petter Stakston and Max Novak, both from Team Aker Dæhlie, each earned 50 points following their equal finish at Klarälvsloppet, with Novak also winning Båstad-Mölle. 

Magnus Waaler of Team Front Rustad IL claimed victory at Fossavatnsgangan, while Ole Jørgen Bruvoll of Team Engcon won the Vaajmarathon. Finally, Alvar Myhlback of the Lager 157 Ski Team secured his 50 points with a win at Värnamorullen. Thomas Bing of the eD system Vltava Fund Team showed a dominant force over Max Novak with his win at Energamo Lipnolopet.
