Smutná and Köcheler winners at Ganghoferlauf Classic 2025

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Ganghoferlauf Classic, took place this Saturday with a 43km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Leutasch, Austria. Check out the results.

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Ganghoferlauf Classic, took place this Saturday with a 43km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Leutasch, Austria. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, one of the Ski Classics Challengers events in Austria, Ganghoferlauf Classic, saw a fierce battle for all the podium places. Ultimately, Kateřina Smutná and Markus Köcheler, xc-ski.de A|N Skimarathon Team, won their respective races with solid performances.

Ganghoferlauf Classic – 43km Women’s Race 

In the women’s competition, the winner was Kateřina Smutná, completing the event in a total time of 1:59:06.3.

Alexandra Danner, Terrex XC Skiteam, finished in second place, 1:58.0 back, followed by Jessica Löschke, TSC Leuna, 3:59:8 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

  1. Kateřina Smutná, 1:59.06.3
  2. Alexandra Danner, Terrex XC Skiteam, +1:58.0

Ganghoferlauf Classic – 43km Men’s Race

In the men’s event, the winner, Markus Köcheler, xc-ski.de A|N Skimarathon Team, completed the race at a time of 1:48:33.6.

Jonathan Göppert, xc-ski.de A|N Skimarathon Team, finished in second place, 15.2 seconds behind, followed by Johannes Kuchl, Skadi Loppet Team, completing the podium in third position and 23.7 seconds back.
