Sergey Ustiugov Ready for Pustertal Ski Marathon

Russia’s Sergey Ustiugov will race the 62-kilometer Visma Ski Classics event Pustertal Ski Marathon as part of his peaking plan for the 2022 Olympics.

Russia’s Sergey Ustiugov will race the 62-kilometer Visma Ski Classics event Pustertal Ski Marathon as part of his peaking plan for the 2022 Olympics.

Sergey Ustiugov sat out Tour de Ski last week in favor of preparing for the upcoming Olympics in the Toblach/Dobiacco region in Northern Italy. This weekend, the Russian sprint racer will try his hand at marathons. 

Thursday, the event organizers announced that Ustiugov is entered for the Pustertal Ski Marathon on Saturday, January 8. Ustiugov signed up for the race along with fellow Russian Petr Sedov

Pustertal Ski Marathon is one of two Visma Ski Classics events in the Toblach area this weekend. The next day, on Sunday January 9, Visma Ski Classics continues with the 32-kilometer uphill race Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge.
