Øyre Slind wins Alliansloppet 2026

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Alliansloppet, a 48km long-distance roller ski race in classic technique, took place this Saturday in Trollhättan, Sweden. Astrid Øyre Slind delivered a commanding performance to claim victory in the women’s race.

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Alliansloppet, a 48km long-distance roller ski race in classic technique, took place this Saturday in Trollhättan, Sweden. Astrid Øyre Slind delivered a commanding performance to claim victory in the women’s race.

Many Ski Classics Pro Team athletes and World Cup skiers matched their skills in a 48km long-distance race today in Trollhättan, Sweden. After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event, Alliansloppet, saw Astrid Øyre Slind, Norwegian National Team, win the race with a commanding performance.

Alliansloppet – Women’s Race

In the women’s competition, a small leading group of favorites formed as the race progressed. By the second lap, only two contenders remained in the fight for victory, Astrid Øyre Slind and Emilie Fleten.

At the beginning of the last lap, Astrid Øyre Slind opened a gap and never looked back. In the end, the Norwegian National Team star was the fastest and won the race with a time of 2:03:26.1.

Emilie Fleten, Team Engcon, secured second place, 1:16.3 back, with Magni Smedås, Norway, 4:14.7 behind and completing the podium.

Alliansloppet – Ski Classics Challengers

Alliansloppet is the world’s largest roller ski event, attracting around 1,300 participants each year. Held in Trollhättan, a Swedish city renowned for its dramatic waterfalls, the event covers a legendary 16km loop completed three times through scenic landscapes.

The event is part of a multi-day sports festival and also serves as one of the stages of the 2026 Roller Ski World Cup.

As the Alliansloppet 48km race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
