Team Eksjöhus dominated the Ski Classics Challengers event, Marcialonga Arctic Ski Race, this weekend in Norway. The results show a new leader at the Ski Classics Youth competition and top 3 at the Champion competition overall ahead of Birkebeinerrennet.

Team Eksjöhus dominated the Ski Classics Challengers event, Marcialonga Arctic Ski Race, this weekend in Norway. The results show a new leader at the Ski Classics Youth competition and top 3 at the Champion competition overall ahead of Birkebeinerrennet.

As the Marcialonga Arctic Ski Race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions. 

After a fast race from the start and a morning full of action, the 46-kilometer-long Ski Classics Challengers event in Norway saw Thomas Ødegaarden and Magni Smedås, both from Team Eksjöhus, winning the Marcialonga Arctic Ski Race with outstanding performances and solo breakaways.

With the win, Thomas Ødegaarden, Team Eksjöhus, collected 50 points and now leads the Pink Youth competition on the men’s side (1104 points) ahead of teammate Axel Jutterström (1064 points).

In the same way, Ødegaarden is now in third place at the Yellow Champion bib competition with 1104 points. Kasper Stadaas, Team Ragde Charge, is leading with 1476 points, followed by his teammate Johan Hoel in second place with 1297 points.

Next up is Birkebeinerrennet on March 16. The event marks the twelfth Ski Classics stage and another Grand Classics event, Season XV.

The Season XV of Ski Classics Pro Tour consists of 15 events on 11 event weekends in 6 different countries.
