Hedenström and Myhlback winners of Lofsdalen Epic 2024

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Lofsdalen Epic, took place this Saturday with a 55km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Lofsdalen, Sweden. Check out the results.

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Lofsdalen Epic, took place this Saturday with a 55km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Lofsdalen, Sweden. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Sweden, Lofsdalen Epic, saw a solid fight for the podium places. Alvar Myhlback, Lager 157 Ski Team, and Karolina Hedenström, also from Lager 157 Ski Team, won their respective races with solid performances.

Lofsdalen Epic – 55km Men’s Race 

In the men’s competition, the winner was Alvar Myhlback, Lager 157 Ski Team, after a tight sprint finish, with a total time of 2:09:39.2.

Nils Dahlsten, Lager 157 Ski Team, finished in second place, 0.6 seconds back, followed by Morten Eide Pedersen, Team Eksjöhus, 0.8 seconds behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

Lofsdalen Epic – Top 3 Men

  1. Alvar Myhlback, Lager 157 Ski Team, 2:09:39.2
  2. Nils Dahlsten, Lager 157 Ski Team, +0.6
  3. Morten Eide Pedersen, Team Eksjöhus, +0.8

Lofsdalen Epic – 55km Women’s Race

In the women’s event, the winner, Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team, completed the race in a time of 2:30:41.1 after a solid solo breakaway.

Ida Palmberg, Team Ramudden, finished in second place, 4:28.2 behind, followed by Wilma Jönsson, Team Ramudden, completing the podium in third position and 8:43.8 back.

Lofsdalen Epic – Top 3 Women

  1. Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team, 2:30:41.1
  2. Ida Palmberg, Team Ramudden, +4:28.2
  3. Wilma Jönsson, Team Ramudden, +8:43.8

As the 55km race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
