Trollhättan Action Week finished today with the main race, Alliansloppet, where some of the world’s top long distance and World Cup skiers fought for the victory. The 48-kilometer course had three laps with a relatively easy profile.

In the men’s race, a huge group of skiers stayed together almost all the way to the finish. After two laps, 41 skiers were within 7,5 seconds. The last lap proved to be decisive, and Team Ramudden’s Max Novak showed again that he is the king of roller-skiing. He beat the second best Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, by a four-second margin. Stian Berg from Team Kaffebryggeriet was third. Stian Hoelgaard, Team Curira, was fourth and Morten Eide Pedersen, Team Eksjöhus, fifth. It was a tight race as the 22nd fastest skier, Runar Skaug Mathiesen from Lager 157 Ski Team, was only 20,7 seconds behind the winner.

The women’s race shaped out to be quite different as six skiers were able to break away from the pack on the first lap. After the second lap, five skiers continued their fight for glory. They stayed together on the last lap, and Emma Ribom, Piteå Elit SK, and Hanna Falk, Lager 157 Ski Team, approached the finish line neck-and-neck. The former managed to win the race by a 0,2-second margin. Linn Sömskar, Team Eksjöhus, was third, 2,3 seconds behind Ribom. Lina Korsgren, Team Ramudden, was fourth and Thea Krokan Murud, Lager 157 Ski Team, fifth.

Since Alliansloppet was a Visma Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes were able to collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in respective gender.

All participants receive points for their SC ranking which they can check by logging in for free to MyPages.
