Mannila and Gjerde Alnæs claim Värnamorullen victories

The Ski Classics Challengers event Värnamorullen, a 40km long-distance roller ski race in classic technique, took place today in Värnamo, Sweden. Check out the results.

The Ski Classics Challengers event Värnamorullen, a 40km long-distance roller ski race in classic technique, took place today in Värnamo, Sweden. Check out the results.

After a day filled with action, the Ski Classics Challengers event Värnamorullen saw Lauri Mannila, Team Edux, and Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, win the race with solid performances.

Värnamorullen Men’s Race – 40km

In the men’s competition, Lauri Mannila, Team Edux, won with a total time of 1:32:42.1.

Amund Hoel, Team Engcon, finished in second place, 1.8 seconds behind the winner, followed by Gabriel Strid, Team GS8, 1.8 seconds back, and completing the podium in the third position.

Värnamorullen Women’s Race – 40km

In the women’s race, Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, with a total time of 1:41:02.4, won in a tight sprint ahead of Hanna Lodin, also from Team Engcon, 0.1 seconds back in second place.

Moa Hansson, Ski Team Göhlins, finished 12.5 seconds behind the winner in third place.

Women’s Top 3

  1. Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, 1:41:02.4
  2. Hanna Lodin, Team Engcon, +0.1
  3. Moa Hansson, Ski Team Göhlins, +12.5

As Värnamorullen is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
