Lapponia Ski Week 2025 concludes with Karppanen and Mäkäräinen claiming final stage and overall wins

Lapponia Ski Week, a three-stage Ski Classics Challengers event, had its third and final stage today with an 80km long-distance race in freestyle technique in Finland. Get to know the winners of stage 3 and the overall classification.

Lapponia Ski Week, a three-stage Ski Classics Challengers event, had its third and final stage today with an 80km long-distance race in freestyle technique in Finland. Get to know the winners of stage 3 and the overall classification.

After a long day of action on Lapponia Ski Week Stage 3, the Ski Classics Challengers event saw Miro Karppanen, Team Mäenpää/Lost in Lapland, and Kaisa Mäkäräinen, Hiihtocenter 365, win the race with outstanding performances.

After the third and final stage, Miro Karppanen, Team Mäenpää/Lost in Lapland, and Kaisa Mäkäräinen, Hiihtocenter 365, are the overall winners.

Lapponia Ski Week – Stage 3 – Men’s Race

In the men’s competition, the winner was Miro Karppanen, Team Mäenpää/Lost in Lapland, with a time of 3:12:29.0.

Thomas Maloney Westgaard, Team Aker Dæhlie, finished in second place, 3.0 seconds back, followed by Remi Lindholm, Lost in Lapland, completing the podium in third position and 4.0 seconds behind the winner.

  1. Miro Karppanen, Team Mäenpää/Lost in Lapland, 3:12:29.0
  2. Thomas Maloney Westgaard, Team Aker Dæhlie, +3.0

Lapponia Ski Week – Stage 3 – Women’s Race

In the women’s race, Kaisa Mäkäräinen, Hiihtocenter 365, with a time of 3:26:18.0, won ahead of Jonna Vestenius, Visa Ski Team Kemi, in second place and 21:22.0 back.

Third place went to Terhi Pollari, Ski Jyväskylä, 24:49.0 behind the winner.

  1. Kaisa Mäkäräinen, Hiihtocenter 365, 3:26:18.0
  2. Jonna Vestenius, Visa Ski Team Kemi, +21:22.0
