Kobberløpet, one of the Ski Classics Challengers events in Norway, opens registrations for the 2027 edition next Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Kobberløpet is a long-distance skiing event taking place in Sulitjelma, Norway, and has been organized for over 50 years. The 43km classic event is once again on the Ski Classics Challengers calendar for the upcoming edition on April 17, 2027. 

“Being part of Ski Classics gives us the opportunity to put Sulitjelma, Fauske, Salten, and Kobberløpet on the map for cross-country skiing enthusiasts worldwide. We look forward to offering a unique experience for both elite skiers and recreational participants from near and far,” says Kobberløpet’s Managing Director Mona Mosti. 

Kobberløpet has been a staple event in Sulitjelma since 1968 and attracts some of the world’s best long-distance skiers. Participation in the Ski Classics Challengers series not only elevates the level of competition but also increases the event’s exposure nationally and internationally. 

Apart from the main 43km event, shorter distances and a children’s race are also available. 

Registration opens on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
