The Ski Classics Challengers event, Craft Ski Marathon, is a 42km-long-distance race in classic technique taking place this Sunday, January 11, 2026, in Grönklitt, Sweden.

Craft Ski Marathon is for many Swedish recreational skiers the kick-off to the race season, taking place at the beginning of January and attracting hundreds of skiers each year, with both recreational and professional skiers on the starting line.

The course is 21km over two laps, for a total of 42km in classic technique this year. The start and finish are at the Grönklitt ski metropolis, just 10km away from Mora, famous for the finish of Vasaloppet.

Craft Ski Marathon will take place on January 11, 2026, and apart from the 42km long-distance race, a Ski Classics Challengers event, a shorter race of 21km is also on the program.

As the Craft Ski Marathon 42km race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team-registered athletes can earn points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
