The Ski Classics Pro Tour Season XVII opened today with the Bad Gastein Pro Team Tempo, delivering strong performances and high emotions as the Pro Teams launched the new season.

After a fierce fight between the Pro Teams, Team Engcon claimed victory at the Bad Gastein Pro Team Tempo in Sportgastein, Austria.

The Pro Team Tempo race was organized as an interval-start event with block starts. One Pro Team started at a time, in reverse order of last season’s Pro Team ranking, with the top 5-ranked teams spread across the starting field. The gap between blocks was four minutes, with male Pro Team athletes starting 30 seconds before their female teammates.

For the final classification, the combined time of each team’s second-fastest male and second-fastest female skier was counted.
