The Swedish Biathlon Association has named its development national biathlon team for the 2026/2027 season.

The Swedish Biathlon Association has named its development national biathlon team for the 2026/2027 season.

According to a press release from the Swedish Biathlon Association, the development national biathlon team for the 2026/2027 season has now been selected.

“This year’s squad consists of 11 athletes with experience from national team activities in various forms. Lydia Hägg Eveby steps up from Team Dina Försäkringar, while Greta Lindqvist Seldahl is back on the team after a year with Mid Sweden University’s training group. On the men’s side, the level is high, and this year includes several experienced athletes who have taken big steps towards the highest elite. On the women’s side, the focus is more clearly directed towards development, with a group that is at the beginning of its journey towards the international top level.

An important part of the continuity in the team is that the coaching duo Elisabeth Juudas and Ola Ravald continue in their roles. They are now entering their fifth year as head of the development national team, with Elisabeth’s main focus on shooting, while Ola is responsible for physical training and technique. Together, they create a solid foundation for the athletes’ development towards the world elite.

“We have a squad with two slightly different profiles. On the men’s side, there are athletes who are close to the level of the A-national team, while the women’s group is a more pure development team. This creates an exciting dynamic where the active ones can challenge and spur each other in their development. It feels like we have a really interesting year ahead of us, and I’m really looking forward to working with this group,” says Elisabeth Juudas.”
