The Ski Classics Challengers event, Klarälvsloppet, a 90km long-distance roller ski race in classic technique, will take place on Sunday, September 20, 2026, in Karlstad, Sweden.

On Sunday, September 20, Klarälvsloppet will take place in Sweden, and once again as a Ski Classics Challengers event. 

Klarälvsloppet, Sweden’s longest roller ski race, takes place in the Värmland countryside along the Klarälven River on a 90km paved course that combines endurance with a unique nature experience.

The roller ski race welcomes both elite and recreational athletes, and the 2026 edition will mark the ninth time the event is held, once again drawing many top Pro Team athletes from the Ski Classics World Championship series.

In addition to the 90km main race, the Klarälvsloppet weekend also offers 60km and 21km roller ski distances, as well as running and cycling events. The 90km race is a seeding event for Vasaloppet and part of the Ski Classics Challengers series.
