Tomorrow, February 8, the 1.5km sprint in free technique for women and men marks the third cross-country skiing event at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. Below you can check out your favorite cross-country skier from the start list.

A total of 91 women from 34 countries and 90 men from 44 nations are confirmed to start tomorrow.

Sweden is considered the top favorite in the women’s sprint, with Maja Dahlqvist, Jonna Sundling, Anna Dyvyk, and Emma Ribom, all with good podium chances. From Norway, we can mention Maiken Caspersen Falla, Tiril Udnes Weng and Mathilde Myhrvold.

We can also mention Natalia Nepryaeva and Yulia Stupak from the Russian Olympic Committee, Slovenia’s Anamarija Lampic and Eva Urevc, Nadine Fähndrich from Switzerland, and as an outsider, the home-grown skier Dinigeer Yilamujiang.

In the men’s race, one of the top favorites for the Olympic gold is Johannes Høsflot Klæbo from Norway. We can also mention his teammates Erik Valnes and Håvard Solås Taugbøl.

Strong names from the Russian Olympics Committee are Alexander Terentev, Alexander Bolshunov, and Sergey Ustiugov. Keep an eye on France’s Richard Jouve and Lucas Chanavat, Federico Pelegrino from Italy, and Marcus Grate from Sweden.
