The endurance sports event KymiRing Triple will return to the unique KymiRing motor circuit in Iitti on August 15–16, 2026. Following its debut in 2025, the program has been refined, offering a diverse selection of cycling, running, roller skiing, and skating events tailored to different fitness levels and age groups.

The inaugural KymiRing Triple in July 2025 received excellent feedback, particularly for the functionality of the race course and the quality of the event facilities. Areas for improvement were identified in scheduling, and optimizing the coordination between the three disciplines has been a key focus for the organizing team led by event director Markku Levanen.

“The event will open on Saturday morning at 10:00 with the Elite category’s 25-lap cycling race. A new addition this year is the roller skiing prologue on Saturday, featuring one-lap or half-lap races, meaning roller skiing will now be available on both days. Children’s running events have also been expanded to take place on both Saturday and Sunday. Overall, the program is more functional than last year,” says Levanen.

Overall, KymiRing Triple received a very positive reception, with strong demand for its continuation. Participants reported a return rate of 8.1 and a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 8.3.

Collaboration driving a more impactful event

During the event weekend, KymiRing will be free of motor vehicles, transforming the venue into a hub for sports, physical activity, and wellbeing. Visitors can explore services and products offered by local businesses in the Kymenlaakso and Päijät-Häme regions. A wide range of activities will also be available for children, making the event an ideal destination for families.

The event organizers—Finlandia-hiihto, TWD Länken, and Jasun Talli—are pleased with the development of KymiRing and are eager to continue utilizing its facilities. The evolving infrastructure and services support the potential for hosting even larger events in the future.

“Our collaboration got off to an excellent start last year, and we strongly believe in the growth of both KymiRing and this event. The new timing in August and increasing awareness will certainly be key factors for success,” Levanen adds.

Registration for KymiRing Triple will open soon. Participants can choose distances across different disciplines according to their fitness level, with junior categories available in all sports. Further details, including registration and pricing, can be found on the official website at www.kymiringtriple.com. Event information will be updated throughout the spring, including upcoming training days at KymiRing, where participants can practice the event disciplines on the track.

KymiRing Triple is a three-discipline endurance sports weekend designed for participants of all ages and fitness levels. The KymiRing motor circuit provides a unique setting for the event, which was first launched in 2025. In 2024, KymiRing transitioned to new ownership with the goal of developing the area into a leading sports and entertainment center in the Nordic region. Collaboration and long-term sustainable development with both international and local partners remain central to this vision.

Additionally, Finlandia-hiihto is part of the Ski Classics Challengers series, further strengthening the event’s connection to international endurance skiing.
