Sollefteå Ski Gymnasium is starting a collaboration with Svexa, which has world-leading expertise in physiology, precision health, and data science. With the help of AI technology, students will optimize their training.

Founded in 1979, Sollefteå Ski Gymnasium in Sweden has been regarded as one of the country’s largest talent factories. With new modern facilities and former students such as Ebba Andersson, Frida Karlsson, William Poromaa, the Öberg sisters, and Sebastian Samuelsson, the school is now taking further steps with the help of AI to remain at the forefront of development.

The collaboration is groundbreaking as Svexa expands its work in the world of cross-country skiing and helps the students at Sollefteå Ski Gymnasium interpret training data to find the optimal setup based on each student’s individual conditions.

Svexa, recognized for its expertise in physiology, precision health, and data science, will guide the students at Sollefteå Ski Gymnasium in leveraging AI technology to interpret their training metrics. This collaboration represents a key moment in athlete development, allowing young skiers to gain insights tailored to their individual needs.

Their approach integrates comprehensive training data with expert analysis, utilizing sophisticated AI models to identify critical performance markers for each student. Through Svexa’s Ellida endurance training product, athletes receive tailored recommendations to optimize their training and recovery strategies.

The project will be led by Svexa’s Director of Applied Sports and elite XC ski coach, Olof Hedberg. Olof says:

“Sollefteå has continuously made significant progress. Now is the perfect time to implement Svexa’s technology and help their students reach the next level with hyper-personalized insights.”

The coaches at the ski gymnasium say:

“The ambition is for students to gain an invaluable tool as they transition into senior years through the collection of training data that Svexa helps them interpret.”
