The former cross-country skiing star earned 56.7 million Norwegian kroner last year, taking out over 10 million more in profit than the previous year.

The gold medalist from the Olympics and World Championships in the 1990s is raking it in: The company Sisa Invest, which is wholly owned by Bjørn Dæhlie, had an annual profit of 56.7 million Norwegian kroner before tax in 2023. This is 16 million more than the previous year. In 2022, the annual profit before tax was 40.7 million kroner.

The 2023 annual accounts show that the company is paying an additional dividend of 16.1 million kroner. This is almost three times as much as the previous year. The corresponding dividend for 2022 was six million.

Sisa Invest owns several properties and also has investments in stocks and bonds. According to E24, Dæhlie’s company has stocks, bonds, and mutual funds with a combined market value of 145.9 million Norwegian kroner.

In 2023, the company’s financial income was 92.2 million kroner, two million kroner less than the previous year. Dæhlie’s company had financial expenses of 19.3 million, down from 55.8 million kroner the year before.

The former cross-country skiing star moved to Switzerland with his wife, Vilde Falck-Ytter, in 2022. According to the accounts, Sisa paid just over 12 million kroner in taxes for 2023.

The 57-year-old from Nannestad won nine Olympic medals: six gold and three silver across three Olympics (1992, 1994, and 1998). He also won 12 World Championship medals across five championships, including gold in the 10-kilometer race on home soil at the World Championships in Trondheim in 1997.

That race took place on almost the same course as the 10-kilometer race at the World Championships in Trondheim this upcoming winter. The day after, he won gold in the pursuit, his last World Championship gold.
