With veterans like Jessie Diggins and Rosie Brennan leading the charge into the Olympic season, and several promising new faces joining the squad, the U.S. cross-country ski teams are gearing up for an important season.

Press Release

U.S. Ski & Snowboard officially nominates 21 athletes to the 2025-26 Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team roster. The team is nominated based on pre-determined selection criteria

The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team announces its teams in two phases: nomination and acceptance. The athletes are formally nominated to the Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team in May. Pending their acceptance of the nomination and adherence to the team expectations outlined in the team criteria, athletes will be officially announced to the team in September 2025.

As the team heads into an Olympic season, the A Team is led by athletes like three-time Olympic medalist and seven-time World Championship medalist Jessie Diggins, two-time World Championship medalist Julia Kern and two-time Olympian Rosie Brennan. Olympians Gus Schumacher and Ben Ogden, who both claimed their second World Cup podiums this season, alongside Olympians JC Schoonmaker and dual-sport athlete Sophia Laukli, will also return to the A Team for the upcoming season.

New faces include Kate Oldham, who made her World Cup debut in 2024-25 and secured several top-30 results and a trip to the World Championships, Lucas Wilmot, a University of Utah ski team athlete, and Tabor Greenberg, the 2024 Youth Olympic Games skate sprint bronze medalist.

The 2025-26 FIS Cross Country World Cup calendar will be confirmed by the International Ski Federation in June 2025, including the official announcement of the Stifel World Finals at the end of the season in Lake Placid, New York.

An official Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team announcement will be made in the early fall.
