The Tour de France is an absolute summer classic. Join here at ProXCskiing.com to get Eurosport’s Roberto Vacchi’s comments before today’s Stage 11.

Tour de France stage 10, starting in Morzine, saw Magnus Cort (EF Education – EasyPost) winning the 148.1km race to Megève, ahead of Nick Schultz (Team BikeExchange – Jayco) and Luis León Sánchez (Bahrain – Victorius).

Today, Stage 11 starts in Albertville, covers 151.7km on mountainous terrain and finishes at Col du Granon Serre Chevalier.

“Now we are going uphill. Not initially, but eventually, the cyclists will get closer to the sun. On today’s stage, cyclists will cross the highest point, the classic Col du Galibier, at 2.642 meters high. But before that, as it should be when going up to Galibier via Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne, the Col du Télégraphe must also be climbed. After Galibier, it is a long and nice downhill run, but the finish is brutal. The finish line at the Col du Granon, which has been the highest point on the Tour around 25 times, with an average gradient of 9.2% at just over 11 kilometers, is tough in a rather short stage,” says Vacchi.

The broadcast starts on Eurosport at noon. Neutralized start at 12:15. Expected arrival at 16:40.
