The Gällivare season opener got underway today in Sweden with a classic sprint race for women and men. In the women’s event, the top Swedish skiers delivered a tight and high-level battle for the first victory of the weekend.

The Gällivare season opener got underway today in Sweden with a classic sprint race for women and men. In the women’s event, the top Swedish skiers delivered a tight and high-level battle for the first victory of the weekend.

Maja Dahlqvist, from Sweden, claimed the win in the women’s classic sprint, with Jonna Sundling, also from Sweden, in second place and Nadine Faehndrich, from Switzerland, securing third.
