The Norwegian Ski Association has named the cross-country skiers for their Team ELON Innlandet for the season 2025/2026.

The Norwegian Ski Association has named the cross-country skiers for their Team ELON Innlandet for the season 2025/2026.

According to a press release from the Norwegian Ski Association, the ten cross-country skiers selected will be part of the Team ELON Innlandet for the upcoming season.

“The team management has focused particularly on increasing the number of male skiers on the team in this selection, after we had only one male skier on the team last season,” says incoming team manager Geir Schjølberg.

“It’s encouraging to see that several male skiers from the Hedmark, Oppland, and Buskerud regions delivered strong results throughout the season, and that we can now present a team with five male athletes. With the core of our strong women’s team continuing as well, we are confident that we will field a very competitive team in the coming season,” says Schjølberg.

Team ELON Innlandet’s coach, Karl-Gunnar Skjønsfjell, is entering his second season.

“We’ve had a season with many strong results, including Norwegian Championship medals and top 12 finishes in the World Cup for three of our athletes. Six out of seven athletes are continuing with the team into the new season, and I look forward to continuing the development with them toward new and higher goals. It’s also exciting to bring in four new and hungry male skiers, and they complement the team very well,” says Skjønsfjell.
