The Swedish national team star has made a decision she believes is crucial for the upcoming World Championship season.

The Swedish skiing veteran has spent her entire active career using equipment from the French manufacturer Rossignol. Now, Emma Ribom is entering into a partnership with another French supplier.

Overall assessment

For Ribom, it’s the complete package that has led her to switch to Salomon. This includes both the equipment and the team surrounding her.

“I love the overall feeling when it comes to the ski boots and the skis. At the same time, I feel surrounded by great people at Salomon, and I believe that a strong team is necessary to be successful as an athlete,” Emma Ribom stated in a press release on Monday evening.

Important athlete

For Salomon, bringing Emma Ribom onto the team is significant.

Despite being only 28 years old, she has already secured four World Championship medals, including two golds. Ribom also boasts 20 podium finishes in the World Cup, as well as gold and two bronze medals from the U23 World Championships and gold from the Junior World Championships.

“Emma is an athlete who perfectly embodies the spirit of modern cross-country skiing and our team,” said Patrice Frison-Roche, Salomon Nordic Racing International Manager.

“She is a complete skier, capable of excelling in both sprint and distance events, making her a strong asset. Her professionalism, technical insight and racing experience will be extremely valuable as we continue to develop our Nordic equipment. We are excited to begin this journey together and support her ambitions for the seasons ahead.”
