The cross-country skiing World Cup season 2025/2026 moves to Trondheim this week, and the Swedish national team for the second stage of the season has now been announced.

The cross-country skiing World Cup season 2025/2026 moves to Trondheim this week, and the Swedish national team for the second stage of the season has now been announced.

Trondheim, Norway, will host the second World Cup weekend from Friday, December 5, to Sunday, December 7, 2025. The program opens with a classic sprint on Friday, continues with a 20km skiathlon on Saturday, and concludes with a 10km interval-start freestyle race on Sunday.

In a press release, the Swedish Ski Association confirmed the national team selection for Trondheim. Sweden will start with 20 athletes.

“Now it is time to return to Granåsen and once again measure ourselves against the world elite. The competitions in Ruka offered great results for the Swedish team, and a good start for upcoming competitions and selections,” says national team manager Anders Byström.
