Next Friday, the Swedish traditional cross-country ski winter season begins in Bruksvallarna. But the Olympic gold winner Jonna Sundling will not be at the start.

“She (Jonna Sundling) is starting light training but will not be ready to compete by the weekend,” says Swedish national team coach Stefan Thomson to Viaplay Winter.

The preparations for the winter have been a bit difficult, as Sundling returned home from the national team’s training camp in Vålådalen. Now she is training again but is not quite ready for competition yet:

“She had to interrupt our last camp but feels better now and has started light training. But she will not be ready to compete at the weekend,” says national team coach Stefan Thomson to Viaplay Vinter.
