Holmekollen Ski Festival 2023 is set for Saturday, June 10, in Norway. One of the Norwegian cross-country skiing stars will not attend the roller ski event.

According to VG, the Norwegian national cross-country skiing and biathlon teams will compete in the Ski Association’s ‘ski show’ in Holmenkollen. But big names outside the national team are absent from the race that opens the Norwegian roller skiing season.

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo confirmed that he would not be attending the event. Earlier in April, Klæbo decided to drop out of the Norwegian National Team for next season but got the green light to the World Cup.

On the other hand, on Saturday, the public can follow other Norwegian cross-country skiing starts such as Pål Golberg, Simen Hegstad Krüger, Ingvild Flugstad Østberg, and Anne Kjersti Kalvå.

The organizing committee also confirmed the Norwegian National Biathlon team for the event, with names such as Johannes Thingnes Bø, Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold, and Sturla Holm Lægreid.

In the words of Holmenkollen Ski Show organizers, “Together with our best biathletes and cross-country skiers, we will give you an unforgettable day where you can try exciting exercises, get guidance from the world’s best skiers, and see our biggest sports stars compete up close. A day with a good mix of activities and shows open to everyone, both those who are active in a sports club, those who want to try new sports activities, and families with children who want to enjoy sports and activities in a safe environment. Our traditional roller ski show for our top athletes concludes an exciting day of activities.”
