The women’s freestyle race at the Lysebotn Opp took place today, and Heidi Weng (NOR) delivered a dominant performance in the grueling Norwegian uphill roller ski race.

The women’s freestyle race at the Lysebotn Opp took place today, and Heidi Weng (NOR) delivered a dominant performance in the grueling Norwegian uphill roller ski race.

As the opening roller ski event of this year’s Blink Festival, the 7.5-kilometer Lysebotn Opp in freestyle technique showcased top-level competition. Heidi Weng, from Norway, proved superior on the legendary climb, taking a convincing victory.

Weng finished ahead of Norway’s Kristin Austgulen Fosnæs, with Helen Marie Fossesholm, also from Norway, completing the podium in third place.

On Thursday, August 7, it’s time for Blink Classics, a 50-kilometer roller ski race in classic technique.

On Friday, a 10/15 kilometers mass start race awaits the cross-country skiers, and a super sprint for the biathletes. On Saturday, a sprint race for the cross-country skiers and a mass start for the biathletes.
