The cross-country World Cup season 2025/2026 continued today in Ruka, Finland, with a sprint race in classic technique. Below are the men’s results from the opening sprint of the season.

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (NOR) took first place in the men’s sprint race in classic technique at the World Cup in Ruka, Finland – complete results from the men’s event.

Norway’s Johannes Høsflot Klæbo claimed victory in the men’s classic sprint. The Olympic and World Champion set the fastest time in the final, stopping the clock at 2:30.03.

Teammate Erik Valnes secured second place, 1.21 seconds behind Klæbo, while Norway’s Ansgar Evensen delivered a strong performance to take third place, 2.28 seconds back.

After Ruka, the World Cup heads to Norway (Trondheim). Then, to Switzerland (Davos) and the Tour de Ski (Italy). This period is followed by competitions in January in Germany (Oberhof) and Switzerland (Goms).

Then, it’s time for the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympic Games from February 7 to 22, 2026.

After Milano-Cortina, the World Cup ends the season with weekends in Sweden (Falun), Finland (Lahti), Norway (Drammen-Oslo), and the USA (Lake Placid).
