Fischer Press Release

JOHANNES HØSFLOT KLÆBO AND FISCHER CONTINUE INTO THE FUTURE TOGETHER

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (NOR) and Fischer will continue their successful close cooperation in the future. The exceptional Norwegian athlete has signed for four more years with the most successful ski, boot and binding brand in the Nordic World Cup and will continue to chase points and medals with the complete Speedmax package from Fischer.

The now 25-year-old got his first pair of Fischer skis as a Christmas present from his grandfather when he was just two years old. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo then received his first equipment contract from Fischer at the age of 18. Since then, 48 World Cup victories, three overall World Cup victories and seven World Cup and Olympic medals each have resulted from this partnership.

After the very successful Olympic Games and an extensive test phase in the spring, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo is convinced that his previous partner is also the exact right partner for the future: “I always try to develop myself further and to get the best out of myself and my equipment,” explains the successful Norwegian. “I tested intensively in the spring, including other brands, and learned a lot in the process. I now know that I was well advised in the past and together with Fischer I also want to tackle my further sporting goals.”

Fischer is also looking positively on the shared future: “We are very pleased that Johannes is convinced by our package of skis, bindings and boots after extensive testing and has decided to continue working with Fischer – and for four years at that! This long-term commitment from both sides is a great basis for the further developments and successes we are striving for together,” says Gerhard Urain, Head of Racing Service Nordic at Fischer, looking forward to taking on new challenges. “We will spare no effort to continue to provide Johannes with the best equipment to achieve his goals.”

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo’s personality has made a positive impact on cross-country skiing not only in Norway, but also from a worldwide view. He will therefore continue to be at the center of Fischer’s communications in the future, as has already been the case just recently with the launch of the new Speedmax package for the 22l23 season, to name just one.
