The Italian roller skiing team is poised for success as they embarked on a training camp in preparation for the first stage of the 2023 Roller Ski World Cup.

In a recent press release from the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI), the team’s technical director, Michel Rainer, revealed their strategic plan to fine-tune their form ahead of the competition.

Over the course of five intensive days, from June 26 to July 1, the Italian athletes will converge in the picturesque province of Bolzano, specifically in Anterselva, for a focused training program.

The coaching trio of Emanuele Sbabo, Solange Chabloz, and Marco Sala will expertly lead the camp.

The press release highlights the presence of Italy’s top roller skiing talents. Among the male athletes participating in the training camp are Matteo Tanel and Emanuele Becchis, who have consistently demonstrated their prowess in the discipline. They will be joined by Alberto Della Via, Giamarco Gatti, Jacopo Giardina, Michael Galassi, and Tommaso Dellagiacoma, forming a solid men’s team.

Not to be outdone, the women’s team comprises a group of athletes ready to showcase their skills on the World Cup stage. Elisa Sordella, Sabrina Borettaz, Laura Mortagna, and Elisa Rossato will proudly represent Italy as they prepare to compete against the world’s best roller skiers.

The upcoming Roller Ski World Cup’s inaugural stage will take place in Schuchinsk, Kazakhstan, from July 13 to 16. With the Italian team’s preparation and the guidance of their coaching staff, they aim to make a resounding impact and bring home glory for their country.
