The cross-country skiing World Cup heads to Lahti in Finland for the Season Finale. The German Team is presented.

Lahti, Finland, is the place for this weekend’s cross-country skiing World Cup, with a team sprint in freestyle technique on Friday, a classic sprint on Saturday, and a 20km mass start race in classic style on Sunday. 

In a press release, the German Ski Association has named their cross-country ski team for the upcoming World Cup in Lahti. Germany will start with 11 athletes. On the women’s side, Germany will begin with six skiers. Already on the men’s side, five athletes will start for the European country.

New this season was the exact race distances for women and men in all World Cup events, as the International Ski & Snowboard Federation (FIS) decided in May. Several other changes have also been introduced to the World Cup.
