According to a press release from the Swedish Ski Association, the Swedish Olympic Committee has announced the basis for the Swedish Olympic squad this Wednesday, with 25 athletes and 12 teams receiving the go-ahead to compete in Milano Cortina 2026. Three women and two men were named for the cross-country skiing team, out of those already selected.

“This was our first selection. We hope the squad will contain approximately 130 athletes by February next year,” says Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK) sports director and squad manager Fredrik Joulamo.

“In cross-country skiing, Jonna Sundling, Frida Karlsson, Ebba Andersson, Edvin Anger, and William Poromaa received advance notice of their Olympic spots on Wednesday. All five won medals at the World Championships in Trondheim earlier this year. National team manager Anders Byström will also assemble four relay teams (men’s, women’s, and two sprint relays) to compete in Val di Fiemme.”
