Falun Borlänge SK recruits Polish national team skier
The Swedish club Falun Borlänge SK is strengthening its squad with a Polish national team skier who has won medals at both the U23 and Junior World Championships.
Izabela Marcisz was a major talent as a junior and has several medals from Junior and U23 World Championships, most recently in Whistler 2023. She has regularly competed in the World Cup in recent seasons. It is now confirmed that the Polish skier has signed with the Swedish club Falun Borlänge SK.
This spring, she moved from Poland to Falun, Sweden, to take the next step in her career.
“The Polish cross-country skier Izabela Marcisz, who has been living in Falun since the spring of 2025, broadens and strengthens the team,” writes Falun Borlänge SK on social media.

Successful as a junior
Izabela says she has been skiing since she was two years old and expresses in the club’s post that she is happy about her new team.
“ I’m happy that I got the opportunity to join FBSK. It’s truly a great chance for me to be inspired by world-class skiers who compete for the club.”
The big goal for the upcoming season, as for many others, is the Winter Olympics in Milano-Cortina, Italy.
“ Next season is shaped by the Olympic Games, so that’s my big goal. But I also want to compete more in the World Cup than this year and deliver consistent results there.”
As a junior, Izabela Marcisz was highly successful, with three medals from the Junior World Championships and two from the U23 World Championships.
