Clément Parisse ends cross-country skiing career after Holmenkollen 50km
French cross-country skier Clément Parisse has announced the end of his professional career following Saturday’s 50km race at Holmenkollen in Oslo.
The 32-year-old made his final appearance on the World Cup circuit at the iconic Norwegian venue, bringing to a close a career that began at the top level of the World Cup during the 2014 season.
Parisse won two Olympic bronze medals with the French team in the 4x10km relay at the PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. He also earned relay bronze medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 2019 and 2021, establishing himself as one of the key members of France’s men’s distance team in recent years.
Following the race, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) acknowledged the milestone in a social media post, writing: “See you soon, Clem. We wish you the most beautiful path, a quiet mountain trail, a stunning climbing route, and everything nature has to offer you.”
“Clément Parisse ending his career in Holmenkollen. You will be missed”
Holmenkollen’s iconic 50km race thus marked the final chapter of Parisse’s career in elite cross-country skiing.
