FINLANDIA SKI MARATHON CLASSIC 2025

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Finlandia Ski Marathon Classic, took place this Saturday with a 62km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Lahti, Finland. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, one of the Ski Classics Challengers events in Finland, the Finlandia Ski Marathon Classic, saw a fierce battle for all the podium places. Ultimately, Miro Karppanen, Team Mäenpää, and Anni Kainulainen won their respective races with solid performances.

Finlandia Ski Marathon Classic – Men’s Race

In the men’s event, the winner, Miro Karppanen, Team Mäenpää, completed the race in a time of 2:51:13.0.

Juuso Mäkelä, Team Mäenpää, finished in second place, 5.0 seconds behind, followed by Niko Husu, Jämin Jänne, completing the podium in third position and 4:10.0 seconds back.

  1. Miro Karppanen, Team Mäenpää, 2:51:13.0
  2. Juuso Mäkelä, Team Mäenpää, +5.0
  3. Niko Husu, Jämin Jänne, +4:10.0

Finlandia Ski Marathon Classic – Women’s Race 

In the women’s competition, the winner was Anni Kainulainen, completing the event in a total time of 3:23:42.0.

Niina Virtanen, Danish Ski Marathon Team/Lahden Hiihtoseura, finished in second place, 10:00.0 back, followed by Marja-Terttu Repo, JPV Remontit, 15:25:0 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

  1. Anni Kainulainen, 3:23:42.0
  2. Niina Virtanen, Danish Ski Marathon Team/Lahden Hiihtoseura, +10:00.0
  3. Marja-Terttu Repo, JPV Remontit, +15:25.0

After a day full of action, one of the Ski Classics Challengers events in Finland, Finlandia Ski Marathon Freestyle, saw a fierce battle for all the podium places. Ultimately, Juuso Tossavainen and Vilma Nissinen won their respective races with solid performances.

In the men’s event, the winner, Juuso Tossavainen, completed the race in a time of 2:42:12.0.

Remi Lindholm finished in second place, 1.0 seconds behind, followed by Lauri Lepistö, completing the podium in third position and 2.6 seconds back.

Finlandia Ski Marathon Freestyle – Women’s Race 

In the women’s competition, the winner was Vilma Nissinen completing the event in a total time of 3:06:52.0.

Rebecca Immonen finished in second place, 4.0 seconds back, followed by Anna-Kaisa Saari, 46.0 seconds behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

  2. Rebecca Immonen, +4.0
  3. Anna-Kaisa Saari, +46.0

As Finlandia Ski Marathon Classic and Freestyle are Ski Classics Challengers events, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
