This Norwegian Pro Team brings fresh energy and ambition to Ski Classics Season XVII. With six promising athletes, Team Sport 1 Lillehammer – formerly known as Sjusjøen Ski Team – combines youthful determination and solid experience, aiming to take the next step toward the top of the Pro Tour rankings.

The Pro Team operates with a clear development vision, functioning as a recruitment and feeder squad for Team Sjusjøen Langløp and other leading Pro Teams. Their mission is to nurture emerging talents while offering experienced skiers the opportunity to perform consistently at a high level.

For the upcoming season, the Pro Team consists of six athletes – three women and three men: Maren Navarrete Åberg (2001), Thea Sørum (2000), Camilla Broers (2003), Ole Eirik Fuglehaug Ekrem (1995), Halvor Korbøl Thoner (1991), and Jørgen Harby (2001).

“Team Sport 1 Lillehammer is a Norwegian development team with a clear recruitment vision in long-distance skiing, serving as a feeder team for Team Sjusjøen Langløp and other top teams in Ski Classics,” says Pro Team Director and athlete Halvor Korbøl Thoner.

“With a combination of experienced skiers and promising young talents, the team focuses on developing athletes capable of breaking into the top ranks.”

Looking ahead to the upcoming Ski Classics Season XVII, Team Sport 1 Lillehammer has set clear goals.

“For the upcoming season, the goal is to compete for top 30 positions in the men’s category and top 15 positions in the women’s category. The team will consider the season successful if some of its skiers make the step to join the best teams in Ski Classics next year,” concludes Thoner.

Team Sport 1 Lillehammer’s balanced mix of experience and youth, combined with a strong development philosophy, positions them as one of the most interesting Norwegian Pro Teams to follow in the new season.
