Team Engcon won the Champion competition overall in both the men’s and women’s categories last season. Now they have presented their team for the upcoming season, and while the long-distance star is missing, a World Champion joins the squad.

Team Engcon had a successful winter last season, securing the Yellow bib in both the women’s and men’s competitions through Anikken Gjerde Alnæs and Ole Jørgen Bruvoll. Now, they are continuing with essentially the same team for the upcoming season.

It was confirmed early on that Eddie Edström would retire and end his career. Other than that, the men’s lineup remains unchanged.

Still Missing

On the women’s side, there are a few changes. Ida Dahl has been struggling with fatigue over the past year and was unable to compete with her teammates during the winter. She did not race in a single competition.

Now that Team Engcon has presented its team, Ida Dahl is missing from the lineup. It is, therefore, still unclear whether the long-distance star will race next season.

Instead, World Champion Ebba Andersson joins the team from the start. She ended last season by winning both Reistadløpet and Summit 2 Senja. Considering the Olympics in February, it’s likely that Ebba will join the team toward the end of the season.

Anikken Gjerde Alnæs and Hanna Lodin remain, forming a strong women’s team alongside Ebba Andersson.
