Swedish talent joins Team Aker Dæhlie
The news broke a few days ago that Team Eksjöhus is disbanding. Now it’s confirmed that two of the women are joining the ambitious Norwegian Pro Team, Team Aker Dæhlie.
Team Aker Dæhlie is one of the leading private teams in the world of cross-country skiing. They have both a traditional team and a squad competing in Ski Classics. Now, the lineup for the upcoming season has been finalized.
“The team continues its ambition to be the world’s leading private cross-country skiing team, aiming to develop athletes and perform at all the major venues in international cross-country skiing,” says CEO Jarle Wermskog.

Signing three strong profiles
For the upcoming season, Team Aker Dæhlie has signed three new long-distance profiles. Finnish athlete Kati Roivas (31) and Louise Lindström (26) are coming from Team Eksjöhus. Louise Lindström had her best season last winter with two individual podium finishes.
Julie Støstad (28) joins the team after two years with Team Ramudden and will now be teammates with her partner Gaute Kvåle.
Both of the Swedish top Pro Teams have now been disbanded. Team Ramudden announced this after Vasaloppet, while Team Eksjöhus revealed the news a few days ago.
Men’s team remains intact
On the men’s side, Team Aker Dæhlie will continue with the same roster as last year.
The lineup consists of six men: Kasper Stadaas (32), Mathias Aas Rolid (30), Max Novak (30), Petter Stakston (29), Gaute Kvåle (31), and this year’s Ski Classics overall winner Amund Riege (25).
