Strong performances set the tone at the Grand Classics Jizerská50
Jizerská50, the sixth Ski Classics Pro Tour stage and the second Grand Classics event of Season XVII, took place today in the Czech Republic.
The traditional Czech event in Bedřichov saw Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, and Amund Riege, Team Aker Dæhlie, rise above a highly competitive field.
Gjerde Alnæs secured her second consecutive Jizerská50 and became a Ski Classics Legend, having now won five Pro Tour events in total, while Riege claimed a decisive breakaway win in the men’s race, as both athletes mastered the course to triumph in the 59th edition of Jizerská50.
JIZERSKÁ50 – WOMEN
In the women’s race, which started at 8:00 CET, the speed was high right from the start. Soon, about twenty athletes formed the first group, including all the favorites.
At the first Climb checkpoint of the day in Na Kneipě, 10.6km into the race, Stina Nilsson, Team Ragde Charge, crossed first, followed by Silje Øyre Slind, Team Aker Dæhlie, and Jenny Larsson, Lager 157 Ski Team, all within 1.0 seconds. After the checkpoint, only eleven skiers remained in the front group within 11.6 seconds.
Soon after the Climb, a front group of six strong skiers was formed, containing Emilie Fleten, Jenny Larsson, Stina Nilsson, Silje Øyre Slind, Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, and Hanna Lodin.
With 22.6km into the race, at Jizerka, Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, crossed the checkpoint first. Stina Nilsson, Team Ragde Charge, followed in second, and Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, in the third position. Seven skiers crossed the line within 3.4 seconds of the leader.
At Smédava, the second Climb checkpoint of the day, 31.2km into the race, Stina Nilsson, Team Ragde Charge, crossed in first position, Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, in second, and Jenny Larsson, Lager 157 Ski Team, in third.
From there, the women’s race was exciting, with six strong skiers at the front to the finish line: Stina Nilsson, Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Jenny Larsson, Silje Øyre Slind, Hanna Lodin, and Emilie Fleten.
In the end, Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, sprinted to the finish line, winning this year’s Jizerská50 in dominant style, becoming a Ski Classics Legend, winning five Pro Tour events in total.
In a close sprint battle, Hanna Lodin, also from Team Engcon, finished second, only 0.1 seconds back, while Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, finished in third position, 0.4 seconds behind the winner.

JIZERSKÁ50 – MEN
In the men’s race, which started at 8:30 CET, the action started early with a big group at the front in the first few kilometers, with Team Ragde Charge, Lager 157 Ski Team, Team Aker Dæhlie, and Team Engcon setting the pace and stretching the field.
At Na Kneipě, the first Climb checkpoint at the 10.6km mark, Magnus Vesterheim, Team Ramudden, crossed first, ahead of Kasper Stadaas, Team Aker Dæhlie, in second, and Johan Tjelle, Team Engcon, in third position and 1.0 seconds back.
At the Jizerka checkpoint, 22.6km into the race, Runar Skaug Mathisen, Lager 157 Ski Team, crossed first, Johan Hoel, Team Ragde Charge, in second, and Petter Stakston, Team Aker Dæhlie, in third.
A big leading group of 42 skiers was at the front heading to Smédava, the second Climb checkpoint of today’s event at 31.2km into the race. The action started during the climb, with Jeremy Royer, Team Eksjöhus, and Kasper Stadaas, Team Aker Dæhlie, increasing the pace, opening a gap, and forcing the main group to chase.
At the top, Amund Riege, Team Aker Dæhlie, was first at the Smédava Climb checkpoint, followed by Kasper Stadaas, Team Aker Dæhlie, and Johan Tjelle, Team Engcon.
After the Climb, the action was high, with many skiers trying to get a break, while Team Aker Dæhlie played tactics and tried to decide the race earlier on.
Inside the 10km to go mark, the leading group was reduced to 27 skiers within 13.3 seconds, and the battle for the win was building up.
With 8km to go, Bruvoll, Royer, and Stadaas increased their pace and tried their hands at another breakaway. With about 3km to go, Riege broke away from Royer in a superb acceleration and never looked back.
In the end, Amund Riege, Team Aker Dæhlie, took his chance and won with a powerful and decisive solo breakaway.
Second place went to Kasper Stadaas, also from Team Aker Dæhlie, 11.7 seconds behind. Ole Jørgen Bruvoll, Team Engcon, completed the podium in the third position, 12.5 seconds behind the winner.

After Jizerská50, Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, and Amund Riege, Team Aker Dæhlie, lead the Champion Bib competition.
Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, and Vebjørn Moen, Team Eksjöhus, hold the Green Sprint bib.
Stina Nilsson, Team Ragde Charge, and Kasper Stadaas, Team Aker Dæhlie, carry the bib for the Climb Competition. The Pink Youth Bib belongs to Louise Lindström, Team Eksjöhus, and Amund Riege, Team Aker Dæhlie.
Team Engcon is the highest-ranked Pro Team after Jizerská50 Season XVII.
SKIER OF THE DAY BY DEVOLD
In addition to the race results, the Skier of the Day awards were presented after Jizerská50. Stina Nilsson, Team Ragde Charge, and Alvar Myhlback, Lager 157 Ski Team, were voted Skier of the Day by the fans through the Ski Classics App, recognizing their strong performances and impact on the race.

Next up is Vasaloppet, taking place on Sunday, March 1, 2026. The event marks the seventh Ski Classics Pro Tour stage and the third Grand Classics of Season XVII.
