The Ski Classics Challengers event, Vasaloppet China, took place this Sunday with a 50km long-distance classic skiing race in Changchun, China. Check out the results.

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Vasaloppet China, took place this Sunday with a 50km long-distance classic skiing race in Changchun, China. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in China, Vasaloppet China, featured a fierce battle for the podium. Ultimately, Mattia Armellini, Team Futura GTE Trentino, and Chen Ling Shuang, China, won their respective races with solid performances.

Vasaloppet China – Men

In the men’s event, the winner, Mattia Armellini, Team Futura GTE Trentino, completed the race in 2:08:02.0.

Fabián Štoček, Team Slavia Pojišťovna Robinson Trentino, finished in second place, 0.4 seconds behind, followed by Lorenzo Busin, Team Internorm Trentino GSG, completing the podium in third position and 1:03.7 seconds back.

  2. Fabián Štoček, Team Slavia Pojišťovna Robinson Trentino, +0.4

Vasaloppet China – Women 

In the women’s competition, Chen Ling Shuang, from China, won with a total time of 2:20:08.8.

Jin Ran, from China, finished in second place, 1:43.0 back, followed by Li Lei, also from China, 4:27.0 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

As the Vasaloppet China 50km classic is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team-registered athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
