Ski Classics, together with the new baselayer partner Devold of Norway, proudly announces the return of the Skier of the Day award for Season XVII.

This fan-driven distinction honors the male and female Pro Tour athletes who deliver standout performances, exceptional teamwork, or remarkable sportsmanship at each Pro Tour event.

For the first time, the Ski Classics community will take the lead: fans can cast their votes directly in the Ski Classics App and help determine which athletes deserve the prestigious Skier of the Day title. Voting opens with the first individual event, Bad Gastein Criterium, on December 14, 2025.

How to Vote – Join in and Make Your Voice Heard

Voting is easy and completely free:

  1. Download the Ski Classics App
Available on the Apple App Store and Google Play StoreDownload the newest version.
  2. Log in to your SC Ski Community account (same as for SC Play, proxcskiing.com, langrenn.com, langd.se, maastohiihto.com, and bezky.net) or create a new account with only two steps.
  3. Find the voting section
    • Tap “Skier of the Day by Devold” in the top menu, or
    • Open the Live Center (bottom menu bar), follow the event with live timing, and tap “Vote here for Skier of the Day.”

  1. Select your athletes
Once the women’s and men’s races have started, you can vote for each gender.
    • Switch between the women’s and men’s start lists.
    • Choose one female and one male athlete who impressed you the most.
    • You may vote for each gender at different times, but once you tap “Save My Final Vote,” your choices are locked for that event and that gender.

  1. Vote before the finish line
Voting closes as soon as the first skier of each gender crosses the finish line, so make sure to submit your vote in time.

Final results will be published shortly after the voting has closed, and the two Skiers of the Day will be honored during the Flower Ceremony, receiving a Skier of the Day trophy as well as an authentic Devold of Norway wool sweater.

What Makes a Skier of the Day?
