The SC Ranking saw many changes after the Bedřichov Sprint and Jizerská50 last weekend. Here is an overview of the updated ranking.

After the Bedřichov Sprint and Jizerská50, the fifth and sixth Pro Tour events and second Grand Classics of Season XVII, Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, keeps the lead of the SC Ranking, the global ranking system for long-distance skiers, with 26.134.091 points.

In the SC Ranking, the global ranking system for long-distance cross-country skiers, Emilie Fleten is followed by Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, in second place, with 25.237.344 points. Johan Hoel, Team Ragde Charge, is in third place with 24.696.250 points.

In the top 10, Stina Nilsson, Team Ragde Charge, climbs to 4th place (from 6th) with 24.590.745 points; Kasper Stadaas, Team Aker Dæhlie, is in 6th place (from 10th) with 24.407.887 points; and Ole Jørgen Bruvoll, Team Engcon, climbs to 8th position (from 9th) with 24.319.946 points.

After the Jizerská weekend, the Top 10 includes two Pro Team athletes from Sweden and eight from Norway.

Notably, in the top 20, Amund Riege, Team Aker Dæhlie, moves up from 14th to 13th; Jeremy Royer, Team Eksjöhus, from 18th to 17th; and Alvar Myhlback, Lager 157 Ski Team, from 22nd to 18th.

Top 50

Athletes stepping up inside the top 50: Oskar Kardin, Lager 157 Ski Team (from 23^rd to 22^nd); Hanna Lodin, Team Engcon (from 32^nd to 29^th); Kati Roivas, Team Eksjöhus (from 35^th to 34^th); Nils Dahlsten, Lager 157 Ski Team (from 36^th to 35^th); and Simon Vuillet, Team Slavia Pojišťovna Robinson Trentino (from 42^nd to 39^th).

Moving up also are Anton Elvseth, Team Engcon (from 45^th to 44^th); Hedda Bångman, Team Burger King Northug (from 46^th to 45^th); Vebjørn Moen, Team Eksjöhus (from 47^th to 46^th); and Thomas Joly, Team Ramudden (from 56^th to 50^th).

Pro Team athletes moving up inside the top 100, five or more positions: Anja Stolpe, The Youth Team (78^th to 72^nd); Hanna Fine, Team Slavia Pojišťovna Robinson Trentino (84^th to 79^th); Stefano Mich, Team Futura GTE Trentino (89^th to 84^th); Laurie Flochon Joly, Team Futura GTE Trentino (94^th to 89^th); and Lauri Mannila, Team Edux (107^th to 97^th).

Get to know how the SC Ranking system works!

The SC Ranking points are calculated on the percentual time as the skier is behind the winning time in their gender with an exponential drop of points. This makes it possible to create one single ranking for both women and men, professional and recreational skiers. 

Each skier can include results from their best 12 races within 24 months. The woman or man with the most points will have the #1 rank. In a Ski Classics Pro Tour event, the winning woman and man receive 2.000.000 points; in a Challengers event, the winners collect 500.000 points.

For the Pro Team athletes, Podium Bonus Points are also awarded to the top three skiers in each gender. A Pro Tour event winner gets 200.000 points, 2nd place brings 100.000 points, and 3rd place awards 40.000 points.
