The Ski Classics Challengers event, Alutaguse Maraton, took place this Saturday with a 43km long-distance skiing race in classic technique at Vasavere, Estonia. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Estonia, Alutaguse Maraton, saw a fierce battle for all the podium places. Ultimately, Henri Roos, Team Fikala Evecon, and Tatjana Mannima, Suusasemud I, won their respective races with solid performances.

Alutaguse Maraton – 43km Men’s Race

In the men’s event, the winner Henri Roos, Team Fikala Evecon, completed the race in a time of 1:49:05.0.

Albert Unn, Team Fikala Evecon, finished in second place, 1.0 seconds behind, followed by Raido Ränkel, Võrumaa Toidukeskus/Võru Suusaklubi, completing the podium in third position and 14.0 seconds back.

  1. Henri Roos, Team Fikala Evecon, 1:49.05.0
  2. Albert Unn, Team Fikala Evecon, +1.0
  3. Raido Ränkel, Võrumaa Toidukeskus/Võru Suusaklubi, +14.0
  4. Andrus Veerpalu, Jõulu, +32.0
  5. Peeter Poopuu, Suusasemud I, +39.0

Alutaguse Maraton – 43km Women’s Race 

In the women’s competition, the winner was Tatjana Mannima, Suusasemud I, completing the event in a total time of 1:58:36.0.

Teesi Tuul, Viljandi, finished in second place, 2:39.0 back, followed by Kätlin Kukk, Team Fikala Evecon, 15:23:0 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

  1. Tatjana Mannima, Suusasemud I, 1:58.36.0
  2. Teesi Tuul, Viljandi, +2:39.0
  3. Kätlin Kukk, Team Fikala Evecon, +15:23.0
  4. Greete-Liisa Toom, Sakala Suusaklubi, +21:02.0
  5. Heleri Kivil, Emajõe suusaklubi, +21:27.0

As Alutaguse Maraton 43km is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
